Build reaction highlights with emoji markers

Mark the moments you want to find again while recording, then use those marks to build a shorter highlights reel.

Three signals, one purpose

While recording, ClipDuet offers fire, laugh, and mind-blown marker types. Markers appear in the export and give the highlights tool moments to work from.

Highlights are selected, not magical

In Quick Polish, choose Highlights instead of Full Video. The app builds short segments around marked moments; you can focus the selection on fire markers when that matches your cut.

A practical ceiling

Highlights support up to 25 segments. Nearby marked moments can merge into a single segment, so marking deliberately gives you a clearer shortlist. Markers retain their timing even when you pause the source.

Mark on the recording timeline

Markers follow your reaction timing, including time spent talking while the source is paused. Nearby marked moments may merge into one segment, which keeps a burst of reactions from producing repetitive cuts. The 25-segment ceiling is a practical reason to mark the moments that carry the story rather than tapping every beat.

How to do it in ClipDuet

  1. Record your reaction and tap a marker when a moment matters.
  2. Open Quick Polish and choose Highlights.
  3. Adjust highlight settings or select fire-only moments if useful.
  4. Review the result and export.

Frequently asked questions

Which emoji marker types does ClipDuet have?

The three marker types are fire, laugh, and mind-blown.

How many highlight segments can I create?

A highlights export has a ceiling of 25 segments.

Do markers still line up after I pause the source?

Yes. Marker timing includes the recording time spent during a source pause, so the marker remains attached to the moment you reacted.

Why did two marked moments become one highlight?

Nearby highlight windows can merge. This avoids tiny back-to-back segments and produces a more watchable cut.

What happens after 25 highlight segments?

Highlights have a 25-segment ceiling. Narrow your markers or use fire-only selection when you need a shorter shortlist.
